I’m back. Well, I’m trying to be back.

When I first started this blog, I was really good at updating you all with my life on a day to day basis, but now? Yeah I went off a little bit. But here I am, trying again!

Since we last spoke properly, a lot has happened.

I know you all know I lost my Granddad in September, that was a pretty hard hit, especially when it was only around 15 months since we lost Nanny. It sucked, but with the help of Joe and my family and friends, I’m managing to get through it. I started Uni again, which again I’m pretty sure you all know, but hey! My blog, I can repeat myself if I want to. My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and my brother and his girlfriend had a beautiful baby boy – proud auntie right here! Oh, and we booked our wedding!

Yes, we booked our wedding! On the 13th May 2017 I finally get to marry my best friend. The one I laugh and cry with. The one I’m grumpy with half the time. The one who just makes everything better. I cannot wait! The only hard thing is, the wedding isn’t where we live, it’s actually a couple of hours away! Not that I care, it’s beautiful, half way between the two families and I, no we, love it.

So now, I’m in the process of trying to finish a postgraduate diploma, plan a wedding, make sure we don’t lose our flat (tenancy coming to an end), be an awesome auntie and be a person all at the same time!

I’ve joined a couple of wedding planning groups on facebook, and I’m in touch with the lady who helps us plan things at the reception so it’s not all bad, I have a lot of help! It’s just nervewracking! Next on our list is sorting a photographer and giving notice to become man and wife.

Now for the big decision – do I keep my name, or change it?

The luckiest girl in the world.

It’s really something finding someone who can make everything better while barely trying.

Soppy post alert: scroll down now if you don’t want to read.

There, I’ve warned you. To be honest, I just wanted to give Joe a bit of appreciation – even though he doesn’t actually read my blog – because he is quite literally saving me right now.

All he needs to do is pull me next to him and just hold me. I don’t need presents, I don’t need a big house or lots of money. I need him.

I really do feel like I’m the luckiest girl in the world – a gorgeous man who loves me and who I’m head over heels for, who just happens to be my best friend rolled in.

Thank you Joe. I love you.

That growing up thing.

It’s time to grow up. It’s time to settle down.

For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be independent. My own place, a good job and a family. Something I can be proud of. Well, it’s happening guys!

This time last year I was so focused on getting married, having kids and moving out that I didn’t realise what any of it really entailed. Don’t get me wrong, I still want to get married and have children but the home needs to come first. Joe and I need to be settled before we do anything. So we’re getting settled down.

Today we went to two flat viewings, applied for a loan to kickstart everything and looked at all the other bits and pieces we need to make it all happen! So fingers crossed for us everyone!

Holiday Happiness.

If you haven’t already, get your butt down to the Lake District.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you might remember my post about our amazing holiday in The Lake District. Well, we loved it so much, that we’ve booked to go back! At the end of August we’re going to rediscover Cumbria. Continue reading “Holiday Happiness.”

I found positivity.

i’m trying a different point of view.

Some of you might remember a post I wrote a while ago when life decided to slap me round the face. Granddad had been diagnosed with cancer but we’re not sure of the extent of it, I’m ill and was worrying a lot and I had news that I couldn’t share – more on that a little later. That day I was just left in a horrible state full of worry, anxiety, anger and panic. Today, I find myself in the opposite mindset.

Four years later.

And I still love you more every single day.

Four years with this wonderful one (well on Wednesday it was our anniversary).

Four years later and I’m getting happier everyday.

Four years together and it’s time to start planning our future.

The Lake District

It was the best few days we’ve ever had..
Warning – a very, very long post.

*this could be quite long, I understand if you leave half way through – or don’t even start*

Monday: Getting there.

The day you get to your destination, not a whole lot tends to happen. I mean, we had a good breakfast, got a faster train. checked in and explored the little village, but other than that, Monday was pretty uneventful. Continue reading “The Lake District”
